About Andy McKenzie

Hi, I’m Andy — a remedial therapist, exercise scientist, and anatomy educator who is deeply passionate about helping people reconnect with their bodies, move freely, and feel at home within themselves.

My work blends evidence-based movement science with an intuitive, hands-on approach to manual therapy. With every person I work with, the intention is simple: create space for the body to unwind, integrate, and return to its natural state of balance.

I believe the body isn’t just a structure — it’s a dynamic, conscious system that responds when given clarity, safety, and skilled touch. Pain, posture, and movement are not just mechanical problems; they're expressions of how a person has moved through life — physically, emotionally, and energetically. My role is to meet you where you are, listen to your system, and guide you back to alignment and flow.

Professional Background

  • Bachelor of Exercise Science — Griffith University
  • Remedial Therapist — Manual Therapies GC
  • Anatomy Demonstrator — Griffith University (periodically engaged to assist in cadaver-based musculoskeletal anatomy teaching)
  • Experience across diverse manual therapy techniques, including soft-tissue therapies, fascial work, neuromuscular techniques, and movement-focused rehabilitation

My clinical practice bridges traditional manual therapy and modern movement science, grounded in ongoing work within anatomy labs where I help students explore the intricacies of the body through hands-on learning. This keeps my understanding both precise and evolving.

A Human-Centred Approach

Every client brings a whole story — not just a symptom. My sessions are intentional, present, and collaborative. I create a calm, safe environment where your nervous system can soften, your tissues can release, and your natural healing mechanisms can activate.

We work gently but powerfully — with curiosity, respect, and a listening approach. I don’t believe in force. I believe in guiding the body toward remembering its own organisation.

Why I Do This

Movement is life, and our bodies are far more capable — and far more intelligent — than we’re often taught to believe. My mission is to support people in:

  • Relieving pain and tension
  • Improving movement and posture
  • Reconnecting with their body’s innate intelligence
  • Building strength, ease, and confidence in motion
  • Feeling grounded, aligned, and empowered

When the physical body finds alignment, the mind becomes clear — and our true self can breathe again.

A Space for Renewal

Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing long-term pain, training hard, or simply wanting to feel more connected to your body — you’re welcome here.

This is a space to release, reset, and realign — physically, emotionally, and energetically.
